Movie or TV Series Plot
When, at the end of the film Bridget Jones's Baby, Bridget (Renée Zellweger), who had been tossed about by fate, finally fell into the arms of Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), it seemed that they would finally live happily ever after. That was exactly the case, but unfortunately it didn't last long, because Mark died a few years later on a humanitarian mission in Sudan. Today, Bridget is a widow, caring for her nine-year-old son Billy and four-year-old daughter Mabe on her own, and she can't seem to move on. The only man in her life is her former lover Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant), whom she only uses for occasional babysitting. However, even she cannot withstand the constant pressure exerted on her by her colleagues at the television station, her friends, and her assertive gynecologist (Emma Thompson). They all agree that it is too early for her to live without a man and that she should find someone. No sooner has Bridget finally absorbed this idea than things start to happen. What other lady in distress would be lucky enough to be rescued by a student (Leo Woodall) one or two generations younger than her, who immediately falls Head Over Heels in love with her? And why does she keep bumping into her son's slightly neurotic teacher (Chiwetel Ejiofor), who is helping him overcome the trauma of losing his father? Bridget is simply torn apart, on the threshold of new romantic adventures, but it wouldn't be her if things didn't go wrong again. (CinemArt)
