Group of scientists, Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), and Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis), who specialize in studying paranormal activity.

After they lose their jobs at Columbia University, the trio decides to start a ghost-catching business. They open a storefront in New York City and call themselves the Ghostbusters. Business starts slow until they capture their first ghost, Slimer, at the Sedgewick Hotel, and soon after, their business takes off.

As they continue their work, the Ghostbusters discover that a powerful and ancient Sumerian god named Gozer is planning to enter our world and destroy it. Gozer's arrival is being facilitated by a building that acts as a portal to our world, and the Ghostbusters must stop Gozer from entering.

With The Help of their secretary, Janine (Annie Potts), and a new recruit, Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson), the Ghostbusters set out to save the world from Gozer. Along the way, they face dangerous ghosts, including the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, and work to prevent the destruction of the city.

The movie is filled with humor, action, and supernatural phenomena. The film's iconic theme song and memorable characters have made it a cult classic that continues to entertain audiences today.
