A historian races to find the legendary Templar Treasure before a team of mercenaries.
National Treasure is a thrilling action and adventure movie that see's Historian and code-breaking Benjamin Gates searching for the clues to a mystery that's plagued him and his family his entire life that dates all the way back to the revolutionary war, and even before. The mystery and secret being a rumored treasure that dates back to the creation of the United States. Joining him is Ian Howe, who betrays Gates at an ice locked Colonial ship found in the arctic that holds the first clue, and from there escapes and must beat Ian as they both try to steal the Declaration of Independence.
