Prometheus starts off with what appears to be a large humanoid alien releasing the contents of a vial within a water way before starting off to lead into the rest of the movie. What ultimately starts it off is the discovery of a clue to the origins of humans leads a wealthy businessman to hire a team of explorers to search through space to the last location of an alien species that supposedly designed mankind. Shaw hopes to meet a race of benevolent creatures, while Holloway is set to debunk any religious myth. However, what they find instead is horror beyond imagining.
