He is the forty-eight-year-old, interestingly grizzled owner of a famous upscale New York restaurant and notorious diner, Will Keane (Richard Gere), and she is a twenty-two-year-old designer of crazy headdresses and hats - Charlotte (Winona Ryder). She's a girl full of ideas, but also a strange nostalgia and sadness. An inexperienced girl and an overly experienced man fall madly in love. But great happiness can never last.
