This time, Agent 007 goes to Bratislava. His mission is to bring Georgy Koskov, a Soviet general who has decided to defect, behind the Iron Curtain. As he carries out this mission, he learns from the escaped officer about the planned attacks on Western agents and the KGB commander's plans. But General Koskov is kidnapped by a Soviet agent. On his way to his next mission, James Bond again stops in Bratislava, where he met a young cellist on his previous trip. Gradually it becomes clear that the Russian defector was playing a double game and was only trying to fool the British Secret Service with his escape to the West.
