Rachel Watson takes the train every day past the house she used to live in with her ex-husband. Now he lives there with his new wife and they have a little girl together. Just a few houses away, she sees a young, obviously happy married couple. One day, however, she sees a young woman on the terrace with another man, and the very next day this woman disappears.
