Michael is a successful American film producer and as such he is invited to the Cannes festival with his wife Anne. After the festival the couple was meant to go to in vacation to Paris, but Michael is summoned to Budapest first. Because of an ear infection Anne is un able to take the plane. Jacques will thus offer to drive Anna to Paris where her husband will join her. But what was supposed to be a simple ride to the capital turns into leisure journey across France, full of gastronomic surprises. Spending time with Jacques will push her to reconsider her whole existence.
