In 1939, the life of young Edward Wilson (Matt Damon) is profoundly changed when he joins the powerful secret society Skull & Bones at Yale University. An aspiring student, he denounces his favourite professor (Michael Gambon) for his Nazi sympathies out of sheer patriotism. This move wins him friends in the federal government, which recruits him for several covert operations.
