One quiet evening in 1999, John Sullian finds an old radio that belonged to his father. He tries to plug it in and manages to make contact. The man on the other side is a fireman named Frank Sullivan, and he is about to watch the final game of the 1969 major league baseball season. To his amazement, John discovers that, thanks to an atmospheric glitch, he was talking to his father just before the tragic accident. Now he can warn him so his father won't die, but the consequences of this intervention in history will be far more serious than he thought...
