James Lord is an American writer interested in lives of artistes. When he got a chance to be drawn by Albert Giacometti, do not hesitate to serve him as a model. This short-term task is becoming endless fight with remaking and destroying his piece of art. To finish the portrait Lord repeatedly cancel his flight from Paris, but the way to solve this situation is not through his patience, but knowing well an artist personality.
