Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara (Geena Davis) die in a car accident and become ghosts haunting their former home. They quickly realize that a new family has moved in and decides to scare them off, but their efforts fail. Desperate to get rid of The Family, they seek The Help of a mischievous and chaotic spirit named Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), who specializes in scaring the living. However, things quickly get out of hand when Beetlejuice becomes too powerful and dangerous.
