Moneyball is based off of a book written by Michael Lewis. Billy Beane is the general manager of the Oakland A's and one day discovers that baseball's conventional wisdom is all wrong. With a tight budget to work with, Beane must reinvent the Oakland A's and outsmart and outplay the richer ball clubs who can hire better talent. Hiring Ivy Leave Mathematic genius Peter Brand, Beane prepares to challenge old school traditions by recruiting bargain bin players who all scouts have labeled as flawed, but Beane believes have game winning potential. Using math, and different tactics, Beane and his team overcome all challenges.
